1) WHY USE BLADESMASTER?

2) HOW MUCH WILL SHARPENING COST?

IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO SAY WITHOUT ACTUALLY SEEING THE SCISSORS/THINNERS AS THE AMOUNT OF WORK NEEDED VARIES FOR EACH SCISSOR/THINNER BUT IT CAN COST FROM £15 FOR STRAIGHTFORWARD SHARPENING ONLY FOR EACH SCISSORS OR THINNERS.WE OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR MORE THAN 3 PAIRS.

3) HOW OFTEN DO SCISSORS NEED SHARPENING?

DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH THEY ARE USED, ON AVERAGE EVERY 4 MONTHS. THIS WILL BE SOONER IF THE BLADES HAVE BEEN DAMAGED OR DROPPED OR IF A LOT OF DRY HAIR IS REGURLARLY CUT.

4) HOW LONG WILL I BE WITHOUT MY SCISSORS?

THIS WILL DEPEND ON THE CONDITION OF THE SCISSORS. IF THEY ARE DAMAGED OR THE SET IS WRONG, SHARPENING WILL TAKE LONGER. WE CAN LEND YOU A SET OF QUALITY SHEARS WHILST YOURS ARE BEING SHARPENED AT NO EXTRA COST,BUT FOR SHARPENING ONLY APPROX. 30 MINUTES(MOBILE SERVICE).

5) IS THE SYSTEM SUITABLE FOR ALL SCISSORS?

THE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO SHARPEN 99% OF HAIR SCISSORS. THIS SYSTEM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR I.E. CERAMIC BLADE SCISSORS.

6) HOW DO I POST SCISSORS TO BLADESMASTER?

POST YOUR SCISSORS TO US IN A PADDED ENVELOPE, MAKING SURE THE TIPS ARE PROTECTED BY TAPING THEM TOGETHER AND WRAPPING THE TIPS (PREFERRABLY IN BUBBLE WRAP) SO THAT THEY CANNOT BE DAMAGED IN TRANSIT OR CAUSE INJURY TO THE POSTIE. ALWAYS POST YOUR SCISSORS BY REGISTERED POST WHICH WILL GIVE YOU £500 INSURANCE INCLUDED.

P.S. IF INSURANCE IS REQUIRED IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER OF THE SCISSORS OR WHOEVER SENDS THEM TO US ON THEIR BEHALF TO ARRANGE FOR ADEQUATE COVER. WE WILL ALWAYS POST YOUR SCISSORS BACK BY REGISTERED POST. IF EXTRA INSURANCE OTHER THAN THE INSURANCE THAT IS OFFERED BY THE POST OFFICE IS REQUIRED FOR WHEN SCISSORS ARE IN TRANSIT TO OR FROM BLADESMASTER THEN IT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER OF THE SCISSORS TO ARRANGE IT PRIOR TO THE SCISSORS BEING SENT TO US OR RETURNED TO YOU. UNFORTUNATELY BLADESMASTER CANNOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO SCISSORS IN THE POST.

8) HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE IF I POST MY SCISSORS TO YOU?

WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO PREPARE, SHARPEN AND POST YOUR SCISSORS BY REGISTERED POST THE NEXT WORKING DAY OF RECEIPT FOR STRAIGHTFORWARD SHARPENING ONLY, FULL SERVICE OR MAJOR REPAIRS CAN TAKE LONGER, WE WILL ADVISE AS SOON AS WE HAVE DETERMINED WHAT REPAIRS ARE NEEDED.
